With AdvoCare products, you’ll receive superior nutrition from the highest-quality products.

4. Physiological amounts of ingredients in bioavailable forms.
Physiological mounts of ingredients in bioavailable forms are included in all AdvoCare products, meaning your body is receiving significant nutrients that it can easily absorb and put to use. With AdvoCare products, you’ll receive amounts that work, not simply amounts sufficient to put on the label.

AdvoCare products are unique because of the science behind every product, the high-quality ingredients and standards of manufacturing. Can you trust your health and well-being to anything less?

We hear it all the time… “I’m working out less and my muscle is turning into fat!” One of the biggest myths in weight training… muscle and fat are completely different types of tissue and can’t magically be changed. Muscle shrinks (atrophy) when not stimulated so your muscles may seem softer. Compounding the problem, most people don’t lower their calorie intake to match their now lower energy needs. The result is less muscle mass and extra calories being stored as fat… a shift in your body composition.
It really doesn’t take much to maintain good muscle composition…..make the decision TODAY! Get Started!

“My experience with the ‘technologies’ began the beginning of July. A friend of mine who I have been talking with online kept telling me about these ‘technologies’ and about the work being done with disabled kids and how it seemed to help them…I was definitely curious at that point. I was born with Cerebral Palsy almost 46 yrs ago. Ever since I can remember I have been looking for ONE thing that might help me…of course all the surgeries and therapy did nothing for me. Needless to say when my friend told me they could make a difference…I was doubtful.

I was lent the ‘technologies’ and how no idea what they were. I really didn’t expect any results and figured I would be eager to be rid of the stuff after a few weeks. Well…I was dead wrong! In one week…my spasticity decreased and I felt more relaxed. Then something happened that could have no other explanation to it other than my using the technologies.

In all my 45 yrs on this earth, I have never been able to use my left hand for anything other than to balance things on or help stabilize things while working with them with my right hand. I would say close to the 2 week mark…I was looking at old coins for someone…and I was using a magnifying glass to look at the dates…suddenly, I realized I had the magnifying glass in my left hand and was using BOTH my hands for this little project.

I held the magnifying glass and took the coins with my right hand and held them to it. I have an attendant who comes in every day for 3 hours to help me “jump start” in the morning…I was so excited (I think I scared her) and started yelling her name…saying…”Come here, come here…” She said…What???? I said…do you see what I am doing? She said, you’re looking at the coins…why? I said…look at my hands…then it hit her!

Oh my God…you’re using your left hand too! YESSSSSSSSS…. She said…how is this possible? I said…the only thing I can say is…it has to be the technology that I have been using. Since that day…I have been using my left hand more and more. Now I am noticing more movement in my lower extremities where it was very limited, I moved my leg/foot into position to help with my transfer from one surface to another.

Before this, she or I had to use hands to move it to where I wanted it. Once again…she was astounded…because she went to move it and it moved by itself…she said… did you see what you just did? And, I honestly didn’t realize I even did it. But…since then…I have been moving my legs voluntarily more and more…and that is quite an accomplishment! Of course I had to get all the product technologies I possibly could. What a blessing!”

To increase your flexibility, you need to make stretching part of training program. Even if it is light stretching for just a few minutes, you should stretch every day. Serious stretching, a stretch with warm muscles for 20-30 minutes that stretches all major muscles and joints, should be done at least every other day. Remember, you should definitely feel the stretch, but it should never be painful and you should NEVER stretch cold muscles. The best time to stretch is after your training or exercise.

You must give your body the building blocks for muscle: protein. And you must give it enough. We recommend you try to consume at least 1 gram of protein for every 1-1.5 pounds of body weight. Make sure you are consuming protein with the 8 essential amino acids, or else your body will not be able to use the protein you eat. This can be accomplished by combining protein sources as well.

Doctors generally recommend ice for three days after an injury to prevent pain and swelling- 15 minutes every two hours. Do not hit the hot tub until after the three day period is over. After that, anything that reduces pain is okay, so use heat if that eliminates pain, especially if you are about to be physically active.

You’ve been lifting for some time now and your gains and body seem to have stalled. Try this! After you have properly warmed up and ready to begin your resistance training, add 5 pounds more to your work sets than what you have been using in previous workouts. It may seem too hard at first, and may cause you to get fewer reps than you are accustomed to, but pretty soon you will be lifting your new weight for the same number of reps as you were before the increase, whether that was 8 or 20.
It is a necessary evil so to speak to challenge your body, and mind, to push your muscles to lift new, heavier weights. Each workout, your goals should be either more weight or more reps than your previous resistance training sessions. Obviously, your rep ranges are going to be based on your goals, but irrelevant of the rep range you are working in, the more weight, more reps goal should remain the same.
Your body and your muscles do not know how much weight or resistance you are using. All it knows is stress. Your goal, if you intend to continue to progress, should always be to stress the muscles past existing strength levels. This is accomplished by increased weights and/or increased reps…….
Doing what you have always done, will get you what you have always gotten. NO MORE, NO LESS! Challenge yourself to create progress.
For those currently training, not looking for assistance with anything but their diets, check out eDiet for Life!

Fitness Guidelines Are a Minimum

The Health and Human Services Department has released a new set of guidelines for exercise. While noting that moderate exercise for adults is beneficial, children and teens do in fact need more, suggesting at least an hour a day. The HHS goes to great lengths to make it clear that there are lots of ways to achieve it fitness for all ages.

Basic suggestion, start slowly. Those not currently exercising will see benefits with as little as 10 minutes of moderately intense exercise a day, with increases in exercise length over time.
Due to the increase in overweight and obese children in recent years, the HHS created an expert panel to review data. Findings showed that regular physical activity can cut the risk of heart attacks and stroke by at least 20 percent, reduce chances of early death, and help people avoid high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, colon and breast cancer, fractures from age-weakening bones and depression.

These findings led to the creation of the minimum exercise guidelines. The guidelines advise:

  • You don’t have get all the activity at once. A walk for an hour three days a week works as well as, say, a 30-minute exercise class on weekdays or saving most of the activity for a two-hour Saturday bike ride.
  • For aerobic activities, go at least 10 minutes at a time to build heart rate enough to count.
  • You should be able to talk while doing moderate activities but not catch enough breath to sing. With vigorous activities, you can say only a few words without stopping to catch a breath.
  • Children’s daily hour should consist of mostly moderate or vigorous aerobic activity, such as skateboarding, bike riding, soccer, simple running.
  • Three times a week, children and teens need to include muscle-strengthening activities – sit-ups, tug-of-war – and bone-strengthening activities, such as jumping rope or skipping.
  • Adults should do muscle-strengthening activities – push-ups, weight training, carrying heavy loads or heavy gardening – at least two days a week.
  • Older adults who are still physically able to follow the guidelines should do so, with an emphasis on activities that maintain or improve balance.

These are minimum goals, the guidelines note. People who do more will see greater benefits.
