In order to lose weight we have learned that we should “cut” carbs. Though watching our carbs is important, HOW you watch them is going to make the difference. Did you know that the harder you workout, the more carbs you burn? If you are not eating enough carbs your body isn’t getting enough glucose (for
energy) and you will start breaking down protein. If you are
exercising with the intent of building toner, leaner muscles, losing protein won’t help in your efforts.
Therefore, make sure you are eating your carbs in the form of whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Watch your portions and eat them during the earlier part of the day. They will give you the energy you need to maximize your workouts and in turn you’ll watch those unwanted pounds melt away!
