Craving a cup of hot cocoa but are staying away from it because of all the calories and sugar? We have the perfect healthy alternative! Try Almond Milk! Get yourself a cup (8 oz.) of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and heat it up. Make sure it’s on the hot side. Add a couple of teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and Splenda or Stevia to taste. (Remember the cocoa is unsweetened so you may need to add a little more “sweetness” to it). Stir it until all the cocoa is dissolved. You’ve just created a hot, delicious, low carb, low fat cup of hot cocoa under 60 calories! (with only about 4 carbs and 2.5 g of fat)
This is an excellent, post dinner treat to satisfy any sweet tooth without killing your daily nutritional plan. Enjoy!
