Do you set goals? Do you have a plan of attack in reaching your goals? Do you reward yourself once you’ve accomplished what you set out to? If not, you’re missing one of the biggest motivational tools available to you in your quest for a more enjoyable, thriving lifestyle, irrelevant of the type of goals you are setting! It never ceases to amaze me how hard we are on ourselves when we don’t accomplish, and yet how passive we are on ourselves when we DO accomplish. Say for instance your goal is fitness related, whenever you reach a milestone you have set, have something in mind, like a trip to the day spa, new shoes or clothes (as long as it’s NON-EDIBLE) to reward yourself with.
You deserve the accolades when you achieve
success. This method of motivation should not have ended when we becamse adults. Success is success, not matter the age or the acheivement. Plan for your successes with rewards! Make them something you WILL strive for.
